| I have just moved away from them after they lost all my data!! During a 'regular maintenance window' they managed to destroy my server and lose all of the data, I am still fixing the issues with developers’ months after. Their support has gone downhill in the past few months - DO NOT USE THEM!!! |

I have just read the review about this guy stating he's got a Bentley and a Porsche in his drive and holidays in the Maldives each year, so I went over to their site. The pop-up appeared for the sales chat, so I thought I would ask them if this was true. This is what the *%^$"* replied:
"No, it's a Ferrari. But the bit about holidays in the Maldives is true".
Fair enough, this is 8.30 am and the guy is there, but I'm not impressed.

I was looking to purchase two dedicated servers from UKFast. However after doing some pre-sales research on them I found it hard to find any positive reviews on them. Most appear negative with many people suffering service and support issues after signing up with them.
What really put me off though was when my eventually digging around lead me to find the UKFast owner Lawrence Jones own personal web site at http://www.lawrencejones.eu It was fine until I read his "self-written interview" (I mean what serious reporter would ask you the question "what is parked in your driveway?) at http://www.lawrencejones.eu/about-lawrence-jones. I can't work out whether it was the "I have Bentley and a Porsche on my driveway" or the "I holiday in the Maldives every year" that put me off. Please don't get me wrong, I'm all for people making a success of themselves. But a little modesty always helps. Especially when you don't want potential customers thinking you're a completely arrogant and insecure t**t.
Needless to say, this along with the bad reviews I've read on them just put me off UKFast completely. |
